The outpatient surgery in the North Tower was great, clean facility.. All the staff was very professional, caring, and provided. Paige and Christa were amazing nurses. Thank you.

I hate leaving this review but I wanted to provide honest feedback and the reason why I will not be returning to this specific Dr.nI had an appointment with Dr Cornel and was told to be there at 6. One would think that early it would go by quickly. Waited for an hour in the lobby and then a hour freezing in the gown waiting to be taken back. Don't know if he was late or what.. But to me I shouldn't have had to wait two full hours at 6am.nThe real issue was when they took me back I kept waiting for the Dr to come and introduce himself bc I had some questions. When I asked the nurses they said oh he is here.nDr Cornel never turned from his computer and looked at me to speak to me. I proceeded to ask him questions and he would answer while still staring at his computer. I tried to tell him I had pain in both my shoulders and it was my understanding I was getting blockers in both but he told me he had the perfect spot to inject on one side so...nHe said he would take another look and thats the last I remember.nAgain never stopped and spoke and introduced himself. I truly and sadly felt just like a paycheck and a number to him instead of a patient.nTheir are plenty of other Dr's I can see for a blocker and be treated like a patient rather than just a paycheck.

I am originally from Virginia, so I knew nothing about any of the hospitals in Alabama. Was referred to Dr. Maddux by Camellia Imaging and I will have to say she was such a wonderful surgeon. She took the time to explain everything that I needed to know about my surgery. I had the surgery today at St Vincent's Birmingham and I have to say I have had a few surgeries at different hospitals but have never received care like I did at St Vincent's. Everyone at the hospital that I had contact with today was so nice! They truly made me feel like they cared about my health and wellbeing. Thank you St Vincent's for all you did to make me comfortable and for keeping my husband updated on everything since he wasn't allowed to come inside with me due to Covid 19 regulations.

I had hernia surgery at the St. Vincent's outpatient surgery center, 2nd floor, north tower. Dr. William Tapscott was my surgeon. I found him through a referral from Andrew's sports medicine. I couldn't ask for a better surgery experience!!! Dr. Tapscott, as well as the anesthesiologist (don't recall his name), the nurses, the receptionist, etc, were all so kind and attentive.nThe needle sticks were hardly noticeable, and being as needle-resistant as I am, that meant alot!! It was smooth and comfortable throughout the entire experience, and everyone I encountered was pleasant, talkative, informative, and most of all, put me completely at ease. They just gave me a follow-up call to check on me, and asked if there was anything they could have done to make it a better experience. Absolutely not!! They were all great!!!
