DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE ANYONE TO CARES! They refused to see my mom who has a infected wound on her back because of the medication she takes, not a certain kind but because she takes more than a few medications. All she needed was to be seen and given a antibiotic. She was discriminated against for medications.

Dr. Gains is very unprofessional! 3 weeks my daughter has had a fever and he just gave up and said to go to the ER! All while charging my insurance and me a copay for three visits! What a Joke! DON'T GO HERE!!!!

From the moment I walked in I was treated with kindness. The staff was caring and Dr. Gaines treated me like a person not a number! He took the time to explain lab results and what they meant and even called me today personally with further test results. I never felt rushed....that is just so unheard of in the healthcare industry anymore it seems. I'm glad I have the support of Dr. Gaines and C.A.R.E.S as we continue to try to find solutions!

Went to Care’s for my first annual wellness check. Dr Gaines never even put a stethoscope on and listened to anything on me and never even looked in ears throat or anything. They only took blood and asked if they could be my primary doctor. What a joke !!! Waisted my annual exam that insurance pays for. WONT be back!!!

So disappointed!!!! We came in at 5:30 and were told we would have to pay a $30 late fee on top of any other fees because we came in so close to closing time (6pm). We were told this policy was posted on their website but I was unable to find it. Of course we left immediately. I don’t understand how people with full time jobs get there any earlier than we did. If they do not want to take patients past a certain time they should adjust their hours. This is just a way to gouge people for money. We will go to Southern Immediate Care in Anniston from now on. American Family Care in Oxford would also be a great alternative as they have the same hours but no “late fee” policy when you arrive WITHIN THEIR POSTED BUSINESS HOURS. Sad that we wasted our time driving all the way to this establishment.
