First let me start off by saying. The Doctor here is excellent! She is caring, attentive, and really takes the time to listen. However, I am giving this a one star due to the Receptionist named Janet. Janet was extremely rude to not only me, but also my mother. Janet was unprofessional and spoke to us in a demeaning tone. My mother has been going there for years and has never had an issue until Janet. Rather than doing her job and being helpful , she prefers to argue and accuse.

This is a free Faith Based Clinic , for patients that have no health insurance of any kind. It is run with Christian Nurse Practioners, Nurses and Volunteer personnel, some speak both English and Spanish. These are carring loving people that want to care for and find the best care and services they can for these patients. They are patient, efficient, carring people giving unselfishly of their time to care for people in need. On the most part they usually have a large number of very patient, understanding patients that are very appreciative to have a place to go. Which they in turn show when they have fund raisers to raise money for recourses for the clinic. They come volunteer, help put on events giving of their time and recourses to make their clinic and neighborhood better.

Signing up as a new patient was fairly easy. Jusr needed proof of income and picture ID. After that, it took about 5 minutes for them to call me back to take my vitals then to see the doctor or nurse practicinor. I am diabetic and my blood sugar was high so they immediately gave me insulin to bring it down. Not only did they give me the prescriptions I needed for my insulin, but they also gave me prescriptions for the other 5 medications I had previously been on before I lost my insurance. So I left there with the 7 prescriptions I needed most plus samples of 2 more diffrent types of insulin I guess they felt I needed to be on for a while. Which, have so far done ok for me. I will be getting 4 of the 7 prescriptions for free from the Interfaith Ministeies. I gave St Michael Clinic 5 stars because that is what they deserve!!! Everyone there was so nice and polite and acted like they truly cared about you and like they cared about helping you! I haven't been to Interfaith yet, but if they are anything like St Michael's, then they to are truly a gift from God and I highly recommend them to anyone without insurance to go there! They help people in alot of ways not just people without insurance! I'm going back to sign up for the dental clinic I noticed they have there too. I hope it is as good as their health program was. **fingers crossed** and they have Christmas programs too.
