Stringfellow Memorial Hospital: Emergency Room

Took my 98 year old mother in 2 weeks ago due to severe stomach virus, as her doctor's office advised me to do. She was a little unnerved that I couldn't go in with her. We forgot her cell phone, but got it to her via the nice young man working the front ER desk. She was there for 6.5 hours, so the process was quite slow. But when we got her back, she sang the praises of the kindness of everyone who looked after her. Stated that beside the slow pace, she felt very well taken care of.

My daughter visited here and the ER doctor was very rude and very unprofessional. He talked to my daughter very aggressive. He shouldn't be serving the public. I will be contacting an attorney since he is so Big... Nonetheless, the nurses was very empathic and showed great compassion.. Dr. Pitman is the worse.

Friendly staff! Kind and caring people. My only real complaint is that everything was very slow and drawn out. I'm very grateful for what they did to help my friend. I would use them again.

Do not go to Stringfellow Memorial Hospital in Anniston, Alabama for any emergency treatment of any kind. I went to the ER On 10/29/19 for severe pain due to surgery on my back and I was made wait for 3 hours just to have an MD come into the room and tell me that it was against policy to give any narcotic pain medication for any reason. I brought evidence of my surgery in the form of medical records and MRI disc and the doctor didn’t want to see it. I was offered a shot of Toradol and I took it and was sent on my way to see a 24 hour doc in the box.

worst hospital in alabama. advertise the emergency room as a 30 minutes or less wait, been here almost THREE hours and haven’t even been seen. Have a nerve hanging out of my tooth so you can only imagine what kind of pain I’m in and what are the nurses doing? Singing happy birthday to a coworker in the next room. also, they gave me a towel with blood on it. disgusting.
