Oxford VA Clinic

My 82 year old father has been trying to get the COVID-19 vaccine and nowhere in the county can he find someone to administer the shot. So we both are veterans and I live in Kansas I told him to call his local VA, well for the past two weeks no one will answer the phones there I have even tried from my home. This is ridiculous for a veteran that wants the vaccine can’t get the vaccine.

The staff and nurses at this location are very rude and unpleasant to deal with. Sadly the Birmingham VA Medical Center is no better. I do not trust the VA to take care of my health care needs.

If you need a shot for something or want to talk to a doctor, awesome (4 stars). If you need xrays, dont even bother. Drive to Bham. In my experience, Alabama VA is horrible. CO, NM, and CA take far better care of their vets.

I would have to say that those complaining about the service at the clinic, should probably go to an urgent care facility, and see which is better before they run this place down! I’ve always been treated well and recently when I became sick had no appointment they just told me to walk in! I did have to wait an hour but it’s a lot better than going to Urgent care facility, were you still have to wait and pay through the nose and only get to see a nurse practitioner! Keep up the good work!
