While in the DBT partial hospitalization program I very clearly communicated that my suicidal feelings were sharply elevated and I did not feel safe leaving. They thought I was faking, and I attempted to jump off a bridge hours after they pushed my discharge through anyways.nnAvoid this abusive and uncaring facility at all costs.
My wife gave birth to our first son here 6 months ago. I would not recommend having a child here honestly. The doctors were great, the nurses were fantastic, and the facilities were fine. However the billing and communication are beyond poor. My wife spends several hours a week on the phone with their billing department and insurance. At one point my wife had them verify the insurance they had for my (at the time) 4 month old son and it was under a 41 year old woman. My wife has asked repeatedly for itemized invoices and was told she would receive them, still not here. They’ve even threatened to send us to collections even though they have the wrong insurance for our son and won’t send us itemized receipts. You would think this is the first time they’ve ever had a child born here. There was nothing out of the ordinary about our sons birth either, besides it happening during Covid. I am in absolute shock if other people are being harassed and threatened like we are. (My wife and I both have health insurance by the way). Lastly, the communication part. After the birth they had the lactation folks come to our room and “help” or answer questions. Before we were released from the hospital my wife wanted to ask the lactation consultants a couple questions before we left. She asked them two questions and then they left, they were in the room less than 5 minutes. We found out a week later, which nobody ever told us, that those visits from the lactation folks were not part of the hospital team. They are separate and billed us $200 every time they came in the room. Not once did anyone mention that they are a separate entity and would bill us separately. I guess I need to put a chair outside my wife’s door and ask everyone before they enter how much they are going to charge or if it’s included? That’s called predatory billing folks. I have no idea how that’s even allowed, that seems illegal honestly. In the end, we have a healthy baby boy and my wife is doing fine so it’s hard to complain, but at what price? We will reach out to other hospitals and hopefully they don’t allow predatory billing and harass mothers who already have enough to deal with.
Reading many of these reviews, it appears this place has not gotten better with time at all. Was here as a child many years ago, they did so much more damage than they helped, when they weren't filling me up with drugs at least I got lucky a few times lol
Was there in the inpatient hospitalization as well as the DBT outpatient program. Horrible experience. The inpatient was awful, I had to unclog my own drain, I'm transgender and a staff member asked what my deadname was, they lied to me about when I would be allowed to leave, and forgot about me numerous times forgetting to give me my medication. The outpatient program was just as bad. The therapist told us depression is a choice and it is our choice to be anxious and/or happy and that a therapists job is to invalidate your emotions. I am chronically ill and experience chronic pain due Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, scoliosis, and dysautonomia. I expressed being upset that I would not be able to get my top surgery the date I planned due to these reasons, only for the therapist to tell me all I need to do is love myself more (which is hard to do when you have a chronic illness, your body doesn't match what it needs to, etc.). Absolutely horrible. Find a different inpatient facility and for sure a different outpatient place.
Very patient staff, and they’re very organized.
