Firstly, don’t advertise yourself as an “endocrinologist” because your practice don’t have one on staff. McCall isn’t a “doctor” she’s a PA. Secondly, if you’re unable to manage hyperthyroidism, well then how can you call yourself a thyroid expert?nThird and most important, when your patient has an ultrasound and the results come back with highly suspicious for malignancy and no one calls the patient to inform them. I call that malpractice. The patient shouldn’t have to be left to their own accord and find the results on the patient portal and then scramble to find someone to perform the biopsy, because you can’t be bothered to talk to them for two weeks. Priorities!????nnIt’s called manage the patients care, referral to the appropriate specialist.nnThis is a “holistic haven” of incompetence and malpractice.nnRun don’t walk away....

McCall is truly the best doctor I've ever seen. I had been struggling for years with my thyroid after a partial thyroidectomy and was basically told by several doctors that I would just never feel better. And then two years ago I discovered McCall's practice in Austin and my health has improved exponentially. She takes the time to really explain labs and treatment options. It's refreshing to work with a doctor who works with you and doesn't just give you a prescription and send you on your way.

I am not a patient of McCall yet but I plan to be. The information she gives through her blog, Facebook and Instagram has been helpful to me to keep me as healthy as possible with my Hashimoto’s. She also has a very sweet, down to earth and easy to talk to demeanor. One thing that I read in her blog one time that helped me a lot was that we are all human and we have responsibilities and we sometimes forget to do things on a firm schedule, her words put you at ease and remind you to take it easy on yourself and just pick up where you left off and continue on. Definitely want to see her in the future but grateful for the information she puts out there to help others.

I have struggled with an underactive thyroid and hashimoto's for over ten years. I met with no less than 15 doctors during that time frame trying to get my levels just right. Most doctors said we would monitor my progress until my thyroid was no longer functioning- at which point we would take it out. They wanted to take out an organ that was trying desperately to work for me! I began my own research and ran into a podcast by McCall McPherson. I am not exaggerating when I say that podcast changed my life. McCall revealed her struggles with Hypothyroidism and Hashi's and it was IDENTICAL to mine. It was the first time that I have ever heard a medical professional who clearly understood, through her own testimony, the effects of this disease. Simple activities like walking took an enormous amount of effort, something not many people could understand- but she did! I live in Michigan but made plans to fly to Texas to meet with McCall, and while this may seem extreme to some, after 10 years of feeling horrible and paying thousands out of pocket I was desperate for help. McCall is professional, knowledgeable and relatable. She had me prioritize my list of ailments so that my treatment plan was realistic. Within 6 months my world has CHANGED. She changed my meds in small increments over three weeks and nailed it. My levels are all within her normal range. (They were FAR from it before) I have energy to play with my kids, I look forward to working out and my thoughts are more organized. Because of McCall I am a better mom, wife and employee. I tell everyone I know struggling with thyroid issues to seek her out.

McCall has never given up on me! She knows exactly what she's doing when it comes to thyroid and hormone issues! I trust her so much! I wish she could be my primary Dr.!
