I had the same symptoms as the “1 star” reviewer above. Chest pains, numbness in the arm and shortness of breath. I was taken back after filling out the one page document, a formality that cannot be bypassed at most facilities, and was immediately assessed at triage. The front desk was exceptional and once I was handed off to the nursing staff it was stellar! As the assessment was being done, cost/coding for insurance was in process by the reception staff. By the time the EKG was to be ordered I was provided with insurance vs. no insurance costs and the treatment began. After being released, same day, I received a phone call from staff checking in on my condition and 3 days later as well. I have never experienced this care…even from my own family!!! LOL Just kidding kids! 5 Stars VIK!

Receptionist refused service said my insurance was not current. I arrived on 7/19/18. I disputed this by stating how could my insurance term on 12/2016 when you’re holding a card that says policy start date of 5/1/18 along with the policy number on my card not matching her printout of my coverage. She again refused service advising I’d have to pay hundreds out of pocket just to be seen .. I was already panicked thinking I was having heart issues due to my chest being tight and right arm, neck in shooting pain. I told her fine, I’ll go somewhere else and handed her back the partially filled out paperwork that she was requiring me to fill out even though she knew the reported chest problems. The nurse quickly interrupted when she overheard and said they’d see me immediately and took me back. The doctor was professional and had some concerns but due to insurance not verified she advised it would be another $500-$700 just for a work up. My advice is DO NOT go to this place if you’re having or think you might be having heart issues or anything else serious as it is clear the only thing they are interested in is verifying your insurance before diagnosis. I’ve never had issues with coverage and left there to head to St. David’s RR hospital who didn’t blink an eye when I told them at the window what was wrong. AFTER I was seen, worked up and spoke to the doctor at RR St. David’s they came to get my information and low and behold my insurance magically showed coverage. This place in Lakeway is the worst... they never got my ID nor any identifying information from me as I’m sure they never intended to treat me based on the receptionists argumentative behavior. Worst possible experience.
