Texas Capital Bank

Wow! You would've thought I was a suspect in check fraud. I called the bank before taking a long drive since I was not an account holder with Texas Capital to ensure no additional fees, etc. I arrived 45 minutes later. Yeah that's the closest location!!! Anyway, I give the teller my legit driver's license and ink thumbprint for the mailed check from my Client. I stand for about 5 minutes, still waiting, until the teller states it will be another minute to verify my check. So I hand her everything that was mailed to me, just case it would speed up the process. NOPE!nnIn a confused state, I'm wondering why my license and my fingerprint wasn't enough to verify. I mean the check was issued by YOUR FREAKING BANK. Another 15-20 minutes later, it dawned on me, it's because I'm black. Makes perfect sense now. I just hate to feel like this was discrimination. BUT IT WAS TOTALLY!!!!!nnAfter hearing her call and leave 5-6 messages to my Client, I emailed my Client and advised them to call the bank so I could be proven innocent of cashing a legitimate check issued from their bank. They thought I had some random person on the phone at first. So I told him the number to call. UGH! In less than 5 minutes, problem was solved. What would I do without me!nnNeedless to say, I will never bank here. If I wanted the hassle or the unnecessary processes, I would have went to Wal-Mart or a check cashing place. Thankfully, they have all of my personal information in case they need to fine me for being black.nnTexas Capital doesn't even deserve one star. It doesn't take Sherlock Holmes and Inspector Gadget to know a check is legit from an account holder that banks at TEXAS CAPITAL!nnShame! Guess that's the Plano we live in or better yet Texas Capital!nnDon't worry about replying with a generic message. It is what it is!!!
