I had the worst experience with the labor and delivery. It’s been 6 years and I still suffer from the trauma the hospital caused during my child’s birth.nThe nurse was an older lady, constantly talked down to me.nI told her I felt like I was going to throw up, she ignored me. I ended up throwing up and got in trouble for making a mess.nI was trying to deliver without an epidural, but she kept telling me to be quiet even though I was in pain. She was relentlessly forcing the idea of an epidural so I’d be quiet and easier to deal with.nI started convulsing from the pain, so she straight told me I was getting an epidural. I had no choice.nThe person that did the epidurals came in and was nasty with me the whole time. The nurse yelled at me to stop shaking so much, even though it was involuntary from the pain.nOnce I got the epidural I started to feel pressure like I needed to push. She refused to allow me to push even though my son was coming. I got in trouble if I tried to push while fully dilated.nMy doctor finally came and told me my son’s head was showing, that I should’ve been pushing.nnMy son almost died, his heart rate kept dropping.nnFortunately we both made it through okay.nnThe lactation consultant came and barely gave any instructions. She wouldn’t help with the latch and gave no additional advice. They just kept trying to push bottle feeding him instead of helping me.nnIt was a horrible experience and the memory lives vividly in my head.

The nurses and aides were superior. Scheduling was extremely poor. It took me 4 hours to register due to lunchbreak and whatever. I waited 3 hours to go from day surgery to endoscopy for my procedure. No one knew what or where i was supposed to be. After 2 semi meltdowns of where is the doctor-i got a nurse who had balls enough to figure out what was going on. Once i was in endoscopy,everything went smoothly. 4 hours !

Great staff always helpful. I would highly recommend this hospital. The nurses were always there when I needed help. Thanks for all your support during my stay there.

The care was amazing. Everyone from the ER to the stroke unit made my mom feel like home. The care was exceptional. Thank you so much.

My stay at this hospital was a very nice experience. All the staff and out of town nurses were so awesome and kind. Dr. Powell was the best general surgeon I highly recommend him as well as Valley Regional Hospital. Thank you so much for taking care of me.
