We met some friends here for lunch. The pizza was delicious (the spicy clam)! The dinning room is interesting with an old wooden ceiling and old pictures on the walls. It's on the casual side while still maintaining an intimate and sophisticated air. There is a beautiful bar which served $5 happy hours at lunch time. I would defiantly come back perfect for a work lunch, a date, or just catching up with friends.
This place is amazing. It's a great dinner date place. Candle lit. Food is amazing. Especially that chicken parmesan and chefs slice pizza. Drinks are strong too! Would always recommend for any couple visiting San Antonio looking for a great dinner date spot.
My boyfriend and I go to Barbaro on Monday every month or so and it's always amazing, the holiday drinks were very different and delicious and I love the large selection of beer as well. We always get the burrata and it never disappoints! The pizza is always hot and cooked perfectly, we'll definitely continue our Monday date night at Barbaro!
Used to be great pizza they changed their pizza crust. Gone is that great crust and flavor. It's now a soft crust. It's missing that great savoy flavor too. It's an ok pizza still can eat it. Just not nearly as good as before.
I'd like to call this place one of San Antonio's hidden gems.nThe food and drinks are great and I'm glad I stumbled across this place.nHunter was knowledgeable of everything they had to offer there and she was absolutely delightful to talk to. I give them an A+++++!!!!
