Chicken N Pickle - San Antonio

Chicken N Pickle is a great place for gatherings... very family friendly. The food is good; I enjoy going for the socializing, a night out with friends & family more. Live music, fun games, activities for the young and the older folks alike.nIt’s a great place to let the little ones play outside while you enjoy adult company!nLittle ones having fun & repurposing ’Bean Bag Toss’ game boards!

We went for a date night on Friday night. It isn't exactly a great place for this. It has a great atmosphere for a group of friends. They had live music which was nice. Lots of games to play. The food was OK, nothing to write home about. There needs to be more servers, we had to stand in line for drinks, although after we got our own drinks, a few servers stopped by after the fact. Parking is a big issue. We took my wife's Camry, and had to drive into a ROUGH dirt field to park.

Not really into pickle ball but wanted to go to a place that had outside seating and good food. There is plenty of outside seating for groups of all sizes with much room for social distancing. There is also indoor seating available. The food is actually very good and not your typical bar food that is just thrown in the microwave. The burger was flavorful and came with 2 patties. The pickle chicken sandwich was also very good. Moist not dry with avocado. Chicken strips were fresh battered and fried as were the chicken and waffles. Also tender and juicy. Only draw back is don't expect much in the terms of customer service. Mostly college kids that work here so they don't give 2 sheets about the service. A lot of eye rolling,, lackadaisical attitudes, and slouching from these future leaders of America. Great food and environment but poor customer service.

Chicken N Pickle exceeded my expectations. It is a large space with enough room to feel comfort during this crazy time. The service was top notch. Shout out to JP!! Thanks for making our group feel welcomed and appreciated. The birthday party I was with received exceptional service!nWill definitely come back soon. Keep up the good service.

Great place! My husband and I went with some friends last night. The parking lot is huge, but even during this pandemic, it was packed full and some of our friends had to park almost near an apartment complex nearby. When we got up to the front gates, there was a police officer who made sure everyone there waiting to be let into the complex was not creating a fire hazard, and quickly let us in once he could confirm my friends and I had a reservation.nnThe complex was at capacity once we arrived, and people were lined up to put their names on a waiting list outside the front gates.nOnce we got inside, we were at awe and how impressive the complex is. We had a reservation for an indoor court, so we quickly made our way there and the tables around our court were clean prior to us arriving.nMy husband and I ordered food, which was great, but we expected much larger servings. We thought we could share the 1/2 chicken and fries, but the 1/2 chicken was actually much smaller than we expected, it must've been a very small chicken! We loved how it tasted, it was juicy and flavorful, however, it was really expensive for the portion we were served ($16)!nnWe played pickle ball on our court and it was very fun. I wasn't there for the renting of our paddles and balls, but the paddles seemed brand new and sanitary. We played the whole 2 hours we had rented our court, and once we only had 10 minutes left a staff member quickly came over and told reminded us that our rental was almost over. Once our rental was over, staff quickly made us leave the court so that they could clean and prepare for the next rental group to take over the court.nnIt was fun, and a really unique experience!nnFood is great, but a little pricey!
