Family members stated that the staff wasn't helpful or compassionate. Also, there wasn't any blankets available for the waiting patients. The bathroom stayed locked making you have to ask every single time and it takes them 30 minutes to come and open the door. The black doctor with the blonde and brown lace front wig was very ghetto by talking about other patients in which this happen today.

Very dehumanizing facility. Would not recommend this place to anyone. 90% of the staff is very rude and treats patients like they are nothing. Won’t even look up at you. You must ask for “everything”, toothbrush, towel, use the bathroom... it’s not the asking part, it’s waiting 15-45 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge you standing there waiting. Tables were never even wiped down for eating in the cafeteria. I never saw anyone clean anything in 10 days. Discharge procedures are an even bigger nightmare! I was FORGOTTEN about on Friday and was told there was nothing they could do until Monday. I had the option of signing an AMA. Which means they would not continue my meds and insurance would most likely not pay. Not my mistake, why should I throw away 10 days of hell?? There is only a handful of staff that actually treat you like a human being. The entire stay was hell. My ring was taken by staff and never returned. I was rushed at security for my belongings so much that they were trying to get me to sign for my things when they didn’t even have it all together. VERY DISORGANIZED FACILITYnI was missing my phone, Apple Watch, wallet, keys... literally everything valuable they could not find for 20 minutes. And I still left without my shampoo (that was never given to me) and my ring that staff took off my finger during admission.nI absolutely hate that place and will never return for help there. Hopefully, someone will read this and save themselves. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR HELPnPLEASE GET HELP, JUST NOT AT LAKESIDE IN MEMPHIS

Wow, CANNOT believe this place is still open and operational. I was placed in this facility 30 years ago and was absolutely traumatized by the things that happened to me. The vail of lies construed to appease parents or insurance companies is enough to make me nauseous to this day about this type of so called psychiatric help. This type of facility feeds off of insurance monies making parents believe their child is getting the psychiatric help and wellness they need. All the while, your loved one is degraded drugged and dehumanized to the point of having to ask permission to “show” feelings like crying (even sneezing) or suffer punishment and threats. This place is NOT the proper place to seek treatment for a loved one. Even an out of control teen doesn’t deserve the treatment this type of place offers. Pretty sure their reply on my review is gonna be, “oh we don’t operate like that anymore” or “we follow all state regulations”....well, don’t just take my word for it. Believe me when they tell you it’s part of their program when you won’t be receiving any “private” phone calls for x amount of days because it all part of their psychiatric treatment process. It’s a scare tactic used that helps enforce the traumatizing mental abuse your loved one is enduring in there. It’s been 30 years and I am now 46 and would never, are you hearing me....NEVER send a child, troubled teen or addict to this place, EVER! Currently, I am a successful entrepreneur, mother of two grown men with grandchildren and this place is now just a part of my past but it still holds a piece that caused significant damage to my youth. Just want to bring awareness of the lasting mental harm this type of place does to a loved one. The so called treatments in these types of facilities are inhumane and have lasting traumatizing effects on people. Be VERY AWARE! BEWARE!

This place really helped my 17 yr old son with his depression , bipolar, and anger issues. They kept me updated on how he was doing and how far he has came and the things they were helping him on . These folks are life savers and my personal angels. So thankful for this place.

I'm so disappointing I have talk to the director and my therapist letting them know I need additional help and my cries have been ignored.i received a response from the owner and still no-one has reached out to me. This place only wants to drain your insurance and that's it!!!! This was the worse experience I have ever encountered. I feel even worse since I was discharged due to the lack of treatment. I won't recommend this place for ANYONE.Upon discharge, my therapist apologized and stated she hates this for me smh
