My husband was admitted last night at 7pm. No one offered him any food or drink. We had to get someone to bring us something. We ask for water/ice, it never shows up. He's still waiting on the coke he asked for hours ago. He had a procedure done and couldn't eat until 11am. They brought him cold eggs, 1 link sausage and French toast. It's almost 2 and no sign of lunch. He asked about it and was told it's coming. I can hear staff laughing loudly in the hallway, but he can't get lunch...nDon't even get me started on the rusty bed he's in! On a good note the PCA we had last night was excellent!nI have spent the night at Baptist in Oxford and was very impressed with the staff, the room and the food. I wish we had gone there instead.

If you have someone that can go a few extra minutes to get to literally any other hospital I implore you to take them there. Their life may literally depend on it. The few good nurses we spoke with said it's so horrible they are transferring asap. The doctors???? They don't listen to their patients at all. They no call no show and when that happens you just have stay admitted. If you must go with your person and stay with them they treat you like garbage. You're not even allowed to get something to drink or get food. How can you be an advocate for your person and be in the room for 8 hours with no food or drink?!?! It's like they want to force you to leave. Or to be forced to be admitted yourself. And if they don't like the way you look? They openly sneer at you.

PHILLLIP SWANSON NIKKI O (ICU NURSES) ARE THE BEST! This was my first surgery and they encouraged me the two days I was in ICU. Philip talked me through all the pain and helped me got through the pain. Nikkie was very polite. She took her time handling me through my pain and help me sponge bath( volunteer ) They made my stay at Baptist very easy! Good guest service!!!

I would recommend going to any other facility if you truly have an emergency and need actual care from a professional. The staff here and just that (staff), rather than Heath care providers, they care not for you or any patient they “treat”. They were in such a rush to make a fast process just a few seconds faster, however, the pain it caused me to have those liquids shoved in my arms that hard every couple hours was completely unnecessary and caused my main vein to collapse (very painful) they ended up having to redue my IV 4 times in the week I was there. That is just one bit of the horrible care I received, I was also forced to lay in my unchanged bed for 5 days straight with zero ability or means to wash any part of my body, they finally let me shower myself after begging for 3 straight days. In all honestly I needed assistance to safely shower, but laying in your own filth for that long will make anybody superwoman. When I have no other options, no help, and no sign of light at the end of the long dark tunnel I felt I was falling into then my need to survive takes over, but everybody isn’t Gonna be so lucky. They will kill somebody, if they haven’t already.

I was rushed to Desoto Baptist Easter night for an emergency. From the moment I entered until I left the following afternoon, everyone from my 10 nurses, the supporting staff, and the doctors were so friendly. I honestly don't think my visit could have gone any better. I would highly recommend Baptist and want to thank everyone for their help.
