This is by far the worst hospital and staff in the state of Tennessee. The ER doctor told my mother, without even trying to admit me, that i was goung to die. This was 5 years ago. Told me last year that there was absolutely nothing wrong with me because i had no proof of insurance, went to Methodist for a 2nd opinion and actually was suffering from pancreatitis. They have my aunt in there right now with a herniated disc and in so much pain she can't even walk to the bathroom. They are coming to her room and telling her to stop yelling because shes bothering other patients. They will not bring in the doctor she needs because they say she has to go to his office. This place is horrible and has the filthiest staff i have ever dealt with.

My Fathers experience was horrible from start to finish at this hospital. As a nurse myself, I can say I have rarely ever seen someone’s care mismanaged as poorly as the way his stay was. He missed 3 meals in a row after being transferred to a different floor. Orders for meds weren’t transferred and missed as well. The hospitalists(3 different ones) that were there to “help” him refused to listen to him multiple times and never communicated whether it be in person or on his chart the plan for his care. They started him on a steroid pack taper for a day or so before being discharged then didn’t even write him a script for it for discharge along with another medicine they “forgot” to prescribe. When attempting to contact them afterwards to clean up their mess they tell us that he’s been discharged at this point and is no longer their problem and needs to contact his PCP for help at 430 pm on the Friday after thanksgiving. Aka good luck. Happy holidays to you too Baptist Collierville. If you love your family member please avoid this death trap at all costs.

Very disappointed. My family and I recently moved to Collierville TN from Northern Kentucky, I chose this hospital for my sick daughter bc it was was local and Collierville is a rather nice community with a good reputation. My 7 year old daughter had explosive diarrhea and was vomiting profusely, I have 3 children and know this can be par for the course but it was especially brutal and I grew concerned. We arrived at 1150pm this evening (Tuesday night) to a completely empty waiting room and a lone receptionist in triage. The woman was cold and dismissive, she never inquired as to whom the patient was or what my daughters symptoms were, she told me to take the forms to the waiting room and fill them out so I did and promptly returned them to her. My daughter sat in a wheel chair for 45 minutes vomiting into a blue plastic bowl I brought from home wrapped in a blanket moaning in agony the entire time, after 30 minutes of watching the receptionist play on her phone I politely asked if she knew how long until we could expect to be taken to a room/bed. She responded rudely that “they know ya’ll are here, it should not be long”. We waited another 15 minutes in a completely empty waiting area, I made the decision to take my daughter to another hospital. We were properly checked in, the nurse replaced our ramshackle puke bucket with a proper tub, gave us a fresh blanket and noted what her issues were. She was promptly taken to a room and made comfortable and was eventually seen by the doctor. I understand emergency rooms can be busy, it was a Tuesday night at midnight in Collierville where literally my daughter and I were the only people in the facility. We were not acknowledged or addressed in any way . Why go into the healthcare business if you aren’t genuinely interested in caring for people when they are in need? Especially children. I cannot adequately express just how angry this incident made me, needless to say I will never visit this facility again. I honestly hope this evening is not representative of the kind of “care “ this hospital provides its community.

Great Hospital! My only Complaint is the Way I heard Dr. Watson speaking to a nurse like she was a total idiot. More like the other way around, the nurses run the show and are so good at what they do there. Administration really should consult her on the way she treats her co-workers.

Simply put, the billing department is awful and needs to get it together.
