They take excellent care of my wife with all of her health issues. They’ve been keeping her happy and healthy for many years with clear communication between the different physicians and also with us.

There were 3 receptionists sitting behind the glass carrying on a private conversation about a personal matter and the one sitting closest to the counter told me to wait. So, I sat back down in the waiting area and I looked across at the empty chairs in the room. I noticed that the walls behind the chairs were filthy. Once the nurse called me back, it was a totally different experience. The nurse was very nice and the physician was excellent. How could the front waiting area be so different than the treatment area? Surely, they can do better than that. They have all the time in the world to chat among themselves about their personal business, but no time to clean up the waiting area? It's a shame.

The rheumatology department is the best; bar none! The staff is very professional. My physician, Dr. Fant, is extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, friendly and a great physician! My arthritis pain was so bad and one point, I was unable to sleep. He explored options with me and recommended a different medication. He was sensitive to my concerns about it and explained the pros and cons in detail. He was very reassuring about its safety and effectiveness. This treatment has made an enormous difference in the quality of my life. I like the fact that this is a teaching practice, and they are up to date on the latest in medical research. I thank God that I was referred to the University Specialty Clinics.

The rheumatology department here is a bunch of closed minded, money hungry, racist individuals. They told me that Gravis was a doctor but she is actually a nurse practitioner that does not know what she is doing. She is under Dr. Fant and he is no better that she is when it comes to diagnosising conditions. They have a one size fits all approach that is very harmful and unhelpful. The next patient symptoms might not be as severe or consistent as the patient you just last saw with the same condition. The fact that it is a teaching practice is worse because they are only looking for what the teacher taught in class. For some reason USC has an outdated curriculum and probably only give research for 1 group of people. It’s other way better teaching practices out there. I try my best to stay away from health care professionals or doctors that went to USC, bc as it seems they can’t do their jobs or don’t want to do it. Just worried about paying back their student loans, and not helping the patient get to a better quality of life. Instead of running more test they say oh well we can’t help you. Now give us your money. I would be weary about the five star review because they are probably from the inside of their department.
