The worst bank ever! They are ridiculously hard to get any one to answer the phone and when they do you have to be called back and never actually get called back! Been waiting to here about an account with them and they still have not called me back yet! Also they close out accounts without actually letting you know or without the owners request! I will never bank with them again!

Applied for equity line on my mortgage w/BB&T. I Never met face to face w/anyone and it took over 2 months to hear from BB&T THAT I WAS DECLINED. They have someone that is half my age as the manager of two branches making credit decisions. They are horrible at customer service. I have been a customer of theirs for almost 25 years never missed a payment. I have a loan with them that has PMI and was told before the loan closing that I had to pay the PMI at a cost of $300 dollars more a month for 2 years. Ok w/that now they tell me I actually have to pay it for 7 years. Liars, they chose an appraiser that appraised my property for the loan amount; hmm this was actually $155,000 below tax value. Come to find out it is a scam to keep my mortgage loan with PMI for 7 years. Helpful to their bottom line. Don’t choose this bank go somewhere else, anywhere but BB&T.

Very helpful but they are ALWAYS closed for some reason or another. Like, today is January 6th, why are you closed!?
