Food... That simple

Most of the time I love going to this food lion but today was not one of those times. After waiting in line which I'm okay with because they were busy. I asked the cashier for a book of stamps. He adds them to my total but when he opened the drawer he did not have any. He asked the customer service person and she said I think we ran out last week but she did check one more drawer to see they had any. They did not. Although I'm irritated I understand things happen. My problem is how she handled it. She said we dont have any I said okay I need my money back. Instead of just doing a refund at his drawer she told me to get in another line. Still irritated but sure okay. In all of this she did not once say hey sorry for the inconvenience we probably should let our people know we are out of something. She or the person she had to get to help her figure out how to get my money did not once apologize.

Met by two employees just inside the door in the cart area, no masks in sight, standing next to a 3 foot tall mask requirement sign.nnAs I was shopping, an employee actually moved the entire display containing the items I was putting in my cart. Like she couldn’t wait 10 seconds.nnLeft items in cart and got my shopping done somewhere else.nnIt’s a shame that such a nice store has such incompetent management.

This is without a doubt my favorite Food Lion location -- wonderful staff and the store is always pristine. Unfortunately I no longer feel comfortable shopping here because the store refuses to enforce our Governor's mask mandate. It's disappointing and shocking given the rising number of COVID cases and sends the message Food Lion does not care about the safety of customers or staff. Does your leadership team not realize you can and should be fined for your actions?
