Stopped in while we were in town for the day and boy are we glad we did! The Turkey Thanksgiving sandwich sounded interesting but a bit strange (sweet potatoes on a sandwich?) - we ordered it since the clerk recommended it. Opted to order a more conservative option as a back up (pork ruben). Both were delicious but the Thanksgiving won both our taste buds over.nWe easily could have shared a sandwich and a side salad. We ended up stuffed with just the sandwiches and saved the sides for later.nWish we had a Hatch in Atlanta! Can't wait to return and try some other sandwiches.
Great sandwiches, make sure to check out the specials, they're usually pretty good!nnUpdated: Still great sandwiches (best sandwiches in Hickory? I can't think of anywhere better) and the specials have branched out even more, especially for dinner. When they have dessert as a special it usually goes pretty fast, but if you do snag it, its great as well.
If you haven't been to Hatch, you're missing out. Whole menu is delicious, as my husband and I have worked ourselves down it. I love the turkey Ruben as a go-to. But, mainly the daily specials are super interesting, funky and fresh! Zach and Colin know what they're doing and hit a perfect niche in hickory
Just trying to get these badass folks at hatch another 5 star. I’ve spent a lot of money here. Never have had to regret it. Unreal flavor. Sense of community. Shop local!!!
So good. A nice place to take visitors to show them that Hickory has more to offer than the chains by the interstate. The sandwiches are so creative and I don’t think there’s a bad thing on the menu. Everything tastes very fresh and they make a conscious effort to source locally when possible.nnNo indoor seating right now due to COVID but there’s plenty of patio seating or you can take it to go.
