Tropicana Lanes

as far as the bowling, it was great. but they lost two stars because of the food quality. the burgers i ordered was half done, and still pink in the middle. and the fries were still cold. other than that, the experience was what i came for. to bowl :)

Great time was had by all. The staff kept the place cleaned and constantly wiping down areas after each use. Very pleased

Tropicana can be a little on the pricey side in comparison to other bowling alleys. Also the alley is not disabled friendly so I had a hard time getting down the stairs. I do however love the little arcade area which they get bonus points for that. Lastly, I didn't appreciate how they really don't practice social distancing during COVID with the lanes. It really did feel like we was on top of each other. I honestly on came here because the bowling alley in the loop wasn't open at the time.

Bowled 4 games alone, paid $5 a game on a Winter Sunday evening. Had a great time at this clean center which had a nice layout of 50 lanes, split 25 lanes each side of the house. Clean bathrooms, friendly staff. Used a house ball just the right size for me. Shoes were comfortable. I had my side of the house mostly to myself, probably because of COVID times. There was a cafeteria open from which I ordered a few mixed drinks but no food. The bar area looked really nice and cool with neon lights and pool tables, but unfortunately it wasn’t open.

I’ve been going to Tropicana all my life, but will no longer be doing business with them. I spoke with a gentleman on Friday, February 26th 2021 about a group of about 40-50 (my family) coming in to bowl this Sunday. I asked him for the price and if there would be a tournament this weekend? His answer to my question was no and he proceeded to tell me that the price would be $35 per lane for an hour of bowling, 5 people per lane and that it included the rental fee. Now just to be on the safe side I asked him to repeat himself, and he replied with the same response. I made sure I told him my name and asked for his in return. Around 6:45pm on Sunday, February 28th 2021 my family and I walked in and asked about renting lanes, and I stated that we all wanted to be in close proximity. Not only did the price change, but the manager on duty told us that the price could change every hour on the hour. He even proceeded to use sarcasm and say that their prices could change at the drop of a dime, and compared their rates changing as often as gas prices. It was a horrible analogy and overall bad business. I was a little upset that I dragged my family 30 minutes away from our original destination (St. Charles who had local bowling alleys with the same kind of deal that we thought we were getting at Tropicana Lanes) just to come here and have someone play on my intelligence with terrible analogies that make no sense in regards to the situation at hand. Overall I will not EVER do business with this establishment, and I’ll be in contact with the owner very soon.
