Nick & Jake's Parkville

My wife and I went here for dinner for the first time. Honestly, it's not quite what we had in mind but I say that in a good way. We expected a bit more bar & grill. Instead, this place is a great restaurant with a very nice bar. Nick and Jake have found a way to combine the ideas into either a fantastic dining experience or simply a place to go hang out. The place was busy and we had a small wait to get our table, but not too bad. Once we got seated, the service was good and we didn't have much waiting. We both ordered salads which came out right away. I ordered a steak and the taste exceeded my expectations. Again, maybe I was still expecting typical bar & grill quality but this was far better than the average place. My wife had grilled chicken and she was equally impressed. The price is a bit high, but after eating the food I wouldn't say it's necessarily out of line for the quality of food.nnWe've already been back again for lunch. We didn't have to wait for a table this time. This time I got the grilled chicken sandwich and it was was still very good. Looking forward to making this place a regular destination.

This bar & restaurant was very accommodating to handling & serving a large party (35) of 10-11 yr. old baseball players, parents, & siblings!! The wait staff were courteous & conscientious in trying to take drink & food orders from the group then serve them right away when ready. The beer was good & food tasty & satisfying. We all had a good time! Thank you!

We visit Nick & Jake's quite often and have yet to have a bad meal. Great food! Best Sunday Brunches! The wait staff, bartenders and greeters are always friendly and helpful! They have awesome management that really takes the time to talk to their customers. It’s a great place to meet for celebrations and definitely bring kids along. There are always good drink and food specials. We love their Irish Nachos, their chocolate cake (the best!!) baked potatoes, and much more!!

I haven't been in town at Nick & Jake's for a year and the good news is that the food is still unbelievably good. This jambalaya is really hearty and hard to beat. I missed it so much! Great service, hot meal, great desserts! What flavor!!

Had an amazing lunch with the ever-attentive Aaron as our waiter. The bourbon salmon and chicken fried chicken were amazing. Just the right portion sizes. Prices are very reasonable, too. Can never go wrong with this restaurant. Only thing I'd change would be to up the lighting... can keep the intimate romance vibe for night time. ;)
