The Retriever Bar & The Decoy Bottle Shop

We got both the Buffalo and the Korean wings last night By far the best wings around. As always the online ordering is convenient. I have never been disappointed in a meal from here and would highly recommend to anyone.

Bar is under construction but the shop has a great curated selection of spirits: scotch, bourbon, rye, wine.

Just finished a superb takeout meal. Everything was fresh and well prepared. Will definitely be back!

I stumbled on this place a few months ago while traveling from Bowie to the Eastern Shore to pick-up some furniture. Since then I've tried to go back as often as I can. The atmosphere is amazing. The interior is beautifully done with great attention to detail. Everything I've eaten there deserves more than 5 stars and the variety of spirits (in both the restaurant and bottle shop) is delightful to say the least. The staff are all friendly and provide great customer service. But the best part, in my opinion, is the owner. I've never met someone so knowledgeable about not only the food and spirits but also about seemingly any topic you can think of. It's so enjoyable to go eat delicious food, discover new and exciting drinks and have such intellectually stimulating conversations! It's worth the drive! And don't forget to ask about their break-even bottle. It's a great way to try something new. As of this review they are only doing takeout orders (the bottleshop is still open), due to the quarantine so you can't get the full experience but I'd recommend going for the takeout nonetheless. The food is still top notch and they have a variety each week of new things to try. Support a great locally owned small business. They are doing a great job trying to keep their employees employed and are doing behind the scenes work in the community to help families in need. Visiting chestertown and were recommended to try this place. Excellent selection in the bottle shop. We had a salad, fried green tomatoes, Mac and cheese, and fried chicken. Everything was really tasty. Wouldn’t hesitate to return.
