Lake After Hours - Central

I went in to have my arm checked for possible infection caused by a grease burn. My blood pressure was elvated (135/92) and my heart rate was 135! Nurse said it's just nerves. I informed the doctor I had no money to purchase additional bandages, tape, etc. so I asked for some to take with me. As I was using my VA medical card I figured this would not be an issue (VA Doctors always provide consumables if I have no money to purchase items). Of course everything was fine and they wrapped my arm and said that's all I could expect. Bandage was dirty and useless the next day so now I'm using dish clothes and masking tape. Oh yes, no concerns about my 135 heart rate! Intake personnel were polite. 2 stars for looking at my wounds and bandaging it. Low score for lack of empathy knowing they could've billed the VA for the extra gauze and bandage I requested.

Had not been feeling myself for a few days and decided to have a check up. The staff was friendly and professional and got me checked out and I do have a medical condition. Instructions were given by the PA and I am happy that I went. Excellent service!

I would give a Zero star if i could! I was so disappointed after leaving this place. My husband and I came here and was told there were no doctors available to treat us for the next 2 hours because all the doctors were “sick.” Me being active duty military I was down here visiting family members & had a urgent need. This was the quickest facility I could go to & I just felt like the facility has so nonchalant about my needs. After waiting over a hour, I left this facility and went to North Oaks walk in facility & they took great care of me in a timely manner.

What can I say from the time I walked into the lake after hours in central what's excellent service they really took care of me and felt my pain I love them so much will always be gone there and will tell my family as well thank you so much for taking care of me

I took my son here on yesterday for a possible broken arm. I called ahead of time to see if they were able to handle such a thing I was told yes. While there I gave the young lady at the front desk my ID and my son's insurance card and fill out the paperwork. All to be told about 15 mins later that he could not be seen because they did not accept his out of state Medicaid. I asked her when did they began doing so because I have brought my other child here on more than one occasion; when we were in town using the same medical insurance. She could not answer that question. She just sat there with a puzzled look on her face and then said I don't know that's what they told her in the back. This young lady is white, but she wasn't and didn't have an issue with us someone in the back obviously did. She was very nice and polite when we came in. I took my son to another Lake Urgent Care and the black lady at the front desk processed my son's information and we were seen. The nurse's and doctors there were awesome and they were white for those who may want to know. I can certainly say that we were discriminated against at the Sullivan location on yesterday. And, will tell everyone I know how we were treated and want ever go back . Because, this is not the first time that this location has had these issue's and apparently they still do. I only gave a 1 because I had to in order to leave the review.
