Louisiana Extended Care Hospital of Natchitoches

DO NOT put anyone you care anything about in this place. They tried their best to straight up kill my mother in October, after her only being there a little over a week. They let her sit for two days after having had an obvious stroke. Did an initial CT scan and then refused to repeat it 24 hours later (which is proper protocol), and turned us down when we asked that it be repeated. If my mom hadn’t already had an appointment scheduled at another hospital for a surgical consultation to evaluate her bypass wound for infection, she’d have most likely died. She received absolutely horrible care here. I just wish I could give less than one star. My mom will never recover from what they allowed to happen to her and we are considering filing suit against the facility and physicians who saw her

This is not the place to bring your loved ones , unless you don't care too much for them. When you have to hear the desperation in your loved ones voice as they beg for help from anywhere it will come from, the pain etched on their face as they lay there unattended and the confusion and panic because they don't understand what's happening. Save for the very few staff members that actually seem to give a rats @$s .
