Delicious food and great service. Only trouble was a very loud table nearby that wouldn’t quiet down

Used to be amazing. Still a beautiful place, wonderful atmosphere, but you can get more Sushi options at Publix. We walked out. 75 % of why went down there was for this place. It was the best Sushi in Florida. The last time we were there we had Sushi there 3 out of 4 nights. They should close and regroup. Sad.

Korals is located inside the JW Marriott hotel right near the check-in area. At a glance, its open floor design is open, inviting you to come hang out to have a drink and a bite. As a JW establishment, my expectations around food and service were higher. While the service was very good, sadly the sushi was disappointing.nnI came with my family for a later supper. A conference being held there let out shortly after we were seated. The place filled up quickly. Luckily, we got our order in just before the rush. The staff did a great job taking our order and keeping our drinks refreshed.nnWe started with potstickers, which were crispy and yummy. And, we ordered a range of rolls including california, shrimp tempura and island; plus, some nigiri including hamachi (yellow tail), ebi (shrimp), and torched salmon belly.nnThere were two major problems with the sushi. First, the rice was over-saturated, meaning it was mushy... not far away from making congee. Second, there was way too much rice vinegar mixed into the rice. We tried to eat what we could, but the texture and vinegary flavor were so overpowering that we finally called it quits.nnI had a chance to talk to the restaurant manager the next day to share my experience. He was very receptive to the discussion and apologized for the food. Not sure I'll give the sushi another shot anytime soon. But, maybe a cocktail and some apps would be nice.

I wish I could leave a better review but I hate to see people waste money here. The table next to us felt the same way when they received their food. When I tell you that you can go into a grocery store and pick up better sushi, believe me. The service is slow, the food is tasteless, and you will be served appetizers and your dinner at the same time. The California roll, let me just say the only thing you taste is some white rice. Save your money and spend it at a different resturant in the hotel.
