Kane Tiki Bar & Grill

Called JWM hotel on Marco Island to ask about the need for lunch reservations for the Kane’s Tiki bar. Asked me if I was a hotel guest, and I said no. She told me that the restaurants were only for hotel guests until after 5pm. A few hours later I called back and asked to be transferred to the Tiki bar. She again asked if I was a hotel guest and I said no but our friends are. She immediately said that I could join my friends at the bar but only after 5pm. What if I had a question about the menu or how busy it is at 5 pm, etc? No, I was immediately dismissed. As a result, I will never stay or dine at this hotel again, niether will my friends. The managers need to take a serious look at the skill level of their clerks, and to take a very discerning look at their harsh rules. If you want to decrease your breakfast and lunch business in your restaurants then put that on your website. “Non hotel guests unwelcome before 5pm.” Then you will get the empty chairs you are longing for.

Delicious food located right on the beach at the JW Marriott on Marco Island. We both had burgers and fries which were great and prepared exactly as we ordered. It did take a few minutes to get our order, so just be patient and enjoy the views!

Outstanding location-- this is the bar that was in your tropical vacation dream.nnIt's all outdoors. Stays open after sunset. Nothing between you and the beach. Open skies overhead. Strong, delicious mixed beach drinks. Comfortable seating. Low-key but consistent service. A long beachside pathway for that romantic stroll, or to try to walk off the buzz.nnWhat's to not like? It's a little hard to find if you're not staying at JW Marriott (head for the beach walkway). The prices go with the prime real estate. And it does (eventually) close for the night.nnHighly Recommended if you like beach bars at all.
