Small World Children's Dentistry

My daughters first dentist appointment, they made her feel very comfortable explaining and showing the tools before using them! When she didn't like something they found an alternative way to perform the cleaning or procedure. The rooms are themed and so much fun. Highly recommended!

From check in to the staff to the dentist himself they were all amazing. They took such great care of my daughter for her first visit. They made everything seem fun and silly. They put her at ease.

My son loves going to the dentist, and even asks to go from time to time because of this place! Dr. Annie & all of the staff make going to the dentist fun. Thanks to the staff for making the dentist a safe exciting experience. ud83dudc9b

We have been coming here for years with my three kids who are now 11.5, 9, and 5. My middle son was TERRIFIED of the dentist when we switched to Small World, and we picked them because Dr. Rick is able to use heavier sedation if necessary (other children’s dentists only offer nitrous oxide).nnAt our first appointment, the staff made sure to walk my kids through everything they were doing with extra detail. They explained every single tool and noise in a kid friendly manner, and made the whole experience fun. They still continue to do a wonderful job explaining things to the kids as they go. My daughter, who has ADHD and anxiety (and thus struggles with sensory issues), smiles the entire time she’s there.nnMy middle son ended up needing the heavier sedation to get a filling done, but this was only after Dr. Rick and staff tried their best and with all their patience to get him through with just the nitrous oxide. Unfortunately he just wouldn’t cooperate, so we went back and they were able to accomplish the filling with some calming medication. I am so thankful that they were so understanding and patient as my son lay there screaming and crying during that first try.nnI can’t speak highly enough of Dr. Rick, either. He is truly an expert when it comes to kids teeth, but if he doesn’t have an answer, he’s not afraid to have you see the person who will have the answers. He only has the child’s best interests in mind and that is so refreshing from a dentist. We’ve had a few issues here and there with my kid’s teeth, but Dr. Rick has never once steered us in the wrong direction in how to manage those problems. He takes a conservative approach, which I appreciate instead of constantly just pulling teeth out. On top of it all, he is such a kind and friendly person. He remembers us when we come in and we feel like we’re saying hello to an old friend when we’re there.nnMy kids love the themed rooms, and of course they love getting to pick a prize and stickers at the end of a good visit.nnWe are always treated wonderfully by every single staff member when we’re there and it’s a place that I and my children truly enjoy visiting. We really couldn’t ask for anything more from a children’s dentist and I feel so lucky to have found them.
