New to the area, ended up in ER. Took nurses more than 4 tries to start an IV. Dr. Hamik Biramian was kind, but instead of ordering a simple blood test to first rule out a rare condition, he instead order all kinds of scans that were unnecessary, as the blood test could have ruled out the condition. My doctor at Northwestern and attorney both wrote letters to Mercy. Glenn Milos who apparently heads emergency services and himself has awful reviews had zero compassion for the fact that Biramian didn't know what he was doing and was at the time a 1099 so just making profit of of fees. To further add fuel to the fire, I offered to pay for the entire bill except for the unnecessary tests, and Mercy refused. I've filed complaints with JACHO and the state, to learn there are many complaints against Mercy for over-billing and unnecessary testing. Stay away, stay away, stay away.

I won't take my child to this ER anymore. Every time I have, we spent at least 3 hours there just to be seen. Making an appointment on Mercy In Quicker is a joke. Every time I've done this, every other person that was physically in the waiting room before us was seen before we were called. And every doctor I have seen in the ED acts like you're stupid for being there, and you're waisting their time.

Kind staff, pleasant front desk person didn't know anything about their process or pace of care. The problem is that Mercy hospital has an online system that supposedly books you appointments based on when their next able to see someone. Waiting for appointment and an hour and 45 minutes later we were first visiting a triage nurse who said it would be at least another one to two hour wait to see a doctor. I don't fault the team at all, they had a lot of emergency room patients to see. but it's the online system headed all accurately reflected the waiting time I and the several other families of young children probably never would have come there. We walked out and went to an aurora health center and saw a doctor in under 30 minutes. The mercy online system has got to be made more accurate especially for families with young children of which there were six other families in the waiting room had been waiting more than two hours with their young kids when we got there.

Husband makes appointment, takes off work to get there.. they say doc not in... I made the appointment. More than once.. then refills or hearing anything usually takes a week to 2. Then your insurance cancels the refills.. BAD, BAD STAY AWAY, GO TO A DIFF PLACE...
