This time (My first time at ER ) was a world away from previous experiences elsewhere. It was good to be treated with professionalism and care. When I say Dr Mark Richards and nurse Mike and all the other employees of Ascension Eagle River Hospital made me feel that I was in safe hands and even made me smile when I left, then you can believe they are the best. I am so grateful that we have these quality providers so near to home. This was the best team of medical staff I have been around in a long time. A big thank you to all of them.

DONT GO HERE!!!! Went in for a UTI test for antibiotics. Got a doctor that new little to nothing about early pregnancy and MULTIPLE lab charges.(asked if i felt pregnant and stated his lack of knowledge) Didnt perscribe full dose so had to pay for ADITIONAL appointment to finish the dose and STILL waiting to get ahold of someone to fix this!!!!! Ascension as a whole needs to be investigated!

I had to go here after an ATV accident that occurred in the UP. Being a Saturday, this was the closest urgent care/ER. As one might imagine, after the accident took place, we had to work out how to get the machines back to our campground in Wisconsin and how to get ourselves to the hospital, since we couldn't just drive the 4 hours back to the camp site on the machines. Everyone I encountered was super nice, except for the doctor. He kept interrogating me as to why it took 6 hours to get there, ultimately referring I had been drunk and was waiting to sober up. We went round and round about this the whole time I was there, and personally, his job is to treat me, not interrogate me. Especially since he couldn't understand that I would never drive anything intoxicated, because I really don't drink. I also appreciated him telling me they weren't going to check me for internal injuries, because it would cost too much. My mom, who drove 5 hours to be with me, finally just told him she doesn't care how much anything costs, he needs to just do his job and run the tests. Honestly, I just got the feeling he REALLY hated his job, but when I go to the ER after a major accident, I need all my bases covered, not someone who will just say ehh good enough.

Recently needed emergency services for a deep gash on the lower leg! Staff at the emergency room was prompt, courteous, professional and thorough. Twenty-six sutures later I was on my way home, stitched and bandaged! Follow up appointments for would care and suture removal also went very well. Highly recommend Eagle River ER.
