This is Madison of the 60's. Cecil who recently passed away started making sandles and probably morphed into shoe repair. The shop is dark, messy and smells of leather but that is what makes it great, besides the store cat, good service and great repair.
Normally a great experience and I love supporting a local business. Apparently Covid produced a lot of business and they got way behind. Took my leather bag in to them early February 2020 and was told end of February pick-up. It wasn’t ready in early March when I went in so I continued to contact them (they’ve not ever reached out to me) each month about pick-up. It’s now almost September and for the third time I’ve been told they will work on it today and it will be finished and ready for pick-up tomorrow. We’ll see.nThe reason I’m posting is to suggest a different retailer for timely repairs until Cecil’s catches up.
I have been going here to repaired all my heels for years now and will continue to use them. They always do a great job.
Friendly and helpful even though they weren't able to fix my item.
Great guy. He'll tell you straight up if your shoe job is doable or not. I wanted something fixed, but he explained they would not be as comfortable when he finished them. So I opted to choose comfort over fashion.
