Without going into detail about my and my wife's conditions, we both decided to try stem cell therapy. I filled out a questionnaire and was contacted by the office. Everyone at Stemulus and I mean everyone, was helpful from the beginning. It is obvious, that their number one concern was our overall health. They treated not only the issues we complained about, they also prepared a plan for overall wellness. We were treated as patients but we were also treated like friends. We travelled 2000 miles for this treatment and feel like the trip was well worth it. We are very optimistic that with the stem cell therapy we received and the wellness plan that they prepared, we both will see a marked improvement.
They get my highest recommendation.
The Stemulus team really takes the time to get to know patients and get to the heart of the issue rather than just treating the symptoms. This is what is missing from modern medicine and what makes this place so special. I refer everyone I know to Dr. Ewald because of her personal touch and her willingness to treat the whole patient and not just the condition. You truly are family at Stemulus.
Wanted to write my experience in the hope that it might help someone who may currently be in the same situation that I faced six years ago. In 2014 I was still working for a company that I had worked with for over 37 years. Great company but as a regional manager I was required to fly almost every week to somewhere in the USA. As anyone who flies every week knows there are problems of missed connections, flight delays, mechanical problems, and crew issues. One Friday after a long week on the road I was looking forward to getting home having a nice dinner with my wife and relaxing. Well, best laid plans turned into a crew issue and a mechanical problem with a long delay. Instead of arriving at 4:30 PM we arrived at 1:00 AM in the morning. Being quite upset, instead of taking my two bags down from the overhead one at a time I grabbed each by the handle and yanked them out of the overhead, that’s when I felt a pop in my left shoulder, and the bag in my left hand fell to the seat below, where no one was seated. I thought I just pulled a muscle, so I picked up my bag and walked off the plane. For several months I kept doing my job but my left shoulder was very weak and quite painful. I kept telling myself it just needed time to heal and it would get better. Long story short, it didn’t, I would sometimes just be sitting watching TV and would get pains like someone was stabbing my shoulder with a knife. My strength was gone, lifting things and raising my arm above my shoulder caused great pain, and worst of all golfing was completely out. Sept. 2015, I went to see my doctor who had x-rays taken, but all it showed was no bones were broken, so I was referred to a specialist who ordered an MRI. The results were “an irregular full-thickness tear of the anterior supraspinatus tendon” or what is commonly known as a “torn rotator cuff”. Went back to the specialists with the MRI and he informed me that I had 2 options, 1, don’t operate and live with it as is, or 2, have an operation and have a chance that it would be better, the same, or worse than it is now. This was quite a decision as I was looking to retire in 2 years and was not looking forward to spending my retirement years suffering and in pain. After years of saving and looking forward to my retirement this was not the quality of life I wanted or expected. May 2016 I was introduced to Dr Jamie Ewald by Dr Joshua Lane. They explained to me that I could be a candidate for a Stemcell treatment which did not require any surgery. I considered my options and knew I didn’t want this pain and disability in retirement, so decided to give it a try. If it worked, I could have the quality of life I wanted, if it didn’t, I still could have surgery. I decided to get the treatment which included several injections of stemcells in my left shoulder in one visit. I went home optimistic but still with pain and without the ability to fully use my shoulder. Slowly over the next few weeks the pain started to subside, I noticed that I could raise my arm higher with less pain. After about three months I was living pretty much pain free and my strength was beginning to return. I played golf with no adverse effects, and my quality of life was almost back to normal. I’m not putting any big strain on my shoulder, but I am enjoying my retirement to the fullest. I climbed falls in Jamaica, drove razors in rough jungle terrain, snorkeled in Grand Turk, climbed mountains and rode bikes in Alaska, and at 69 am living the life that I was looking forward to with my beautiful wife. My sincere hope is that if you have a shoulder, knee, elbow, or muscle pain you are living with you would consider using Stemulus for this type of alternative medicine, and hopefully have the same results that I have had. Josh, Jamie, and Trish are true professionals and will give you an honest evaluation of your situation and provide the treatment that is best for you. God bless you whatever you decide, Bob Lane, Retired and loving it!
I was treated with care and concern and feel that Dr. Ewald is committed to my recovery. My issues have been resolving and I have been feeling better. This is my first time to see a naturopath and my experience has been positive. I plan on seeing her more often in the future for my current issues and any new ailments that may unfortunately arise.
I have never before had a physician take such care to explain the results of my blood work and care options. Dr. Ewald is well-trained, informed with up-to-date research, and expansive with her knowledge. I feel I have a partner for my long-term health. After years of bumping around with NMDs in the valley, I have finally found the place to land for good.
