The BEST fish fry experience in Portage!! We started with the cheese curds (very good and Portage famous) and an hour of pool table time (yes they have billiards ud83cudfb1).The new menu is PHENOMENAL! The combo fish for $13 gives you so much deliciousness: the beer battered cod (3 pieces) was perfectly crisp and not super greasy, the pretzel crushed perch (2 pc) was crunky on the outside and juicy inside with a wonderful buttery flavor, and the piece of baked cod certified the Wisconsin poor man's lobster can be done with cod. Paired with amazing house made slaw, baked beans with bacon, homemade pretzel bread, and a half dozen choices for your potato, it's our new Friday night go to!

Food was well presented and good. Taco plate with chips, salsa and a chicken bacon wrap with chips. Nice that you get free drinks on your birthday and a free glass. Staff was friendly and attentive. Bar area was clean and large. Games area was huge and set up nicely. No shooting line for dartboard but we figured it out. A nice experience overall. Would recommend.

We were visiting and had a great time here during covid19. Bot many people were out, but that's why we stayed. The place was very accommodating and most of all Fun!!

Arrived for the Super Bowl, there was only one bartender, no host or waiter. We sat ourselves and waited for 15 minutes with no one coming to take our drink order or food order. Went up to get drinks and waited about 5 minutes for the bartender to come take our order. We decided to leave and hit the Corner Pocket, they had great food, an active bartender that took our orders and brought our food, and had open seating for the game. If you’re just going for dinner, I recommend you go to the corner pocket and don’t waste your time at The Ball Room unless you need a place for an event, which could be worth it according to the other reviews.
