This was our 2nd time eating at Carlson's. The first time was 4 or 5 years ago. We thought the food was much better this time around. The restaurant has since been remodeled. We sat on the patio to enjoy the lake views. The appetizers were excellent. 2 people in out group had the fried chicken. They said it was very good. The prime rib was not the best I ever had. But, it was still good. The french fries were awesome. Our server, Lindsay A. was very attentive. She did a fabulous job!

We came as a big family expecting to have an amazing dinner as we always used to have. After not being there for awhile we were extremely disappointed when we walked in and the restaurant was remodeled, and an entire new menu. If we wanted a typical beach bar burger joint we would of never made the trip out there! Good luck in your new venture you've already lost regulars who came in for a nice dinner.

No more salad bar, desert bar and everything pictured is gone under new owners. Ok they still have the pretty sunset over the lake. The menu is reduced to everything fried bad bar food. The outside service is much slower than the mosquitoes. Dock for 2 boats max. Adjoining tiki bar across the parking lot plays recordings of people having fun. Otherwise empty. Old families sit on picnic tables and will gladly describe how elegant it used to be. Sit and enjoy the view of the lake. Pack a lunch.

Favorite place when in the area. Outside dinning. Great food and staff. Wish I lived closer.
