Derek and his team were great, they made the whole home buying process smooth as can be. I was lucky enough to be given Derek's number when shopping for a mortgage and I am glad I was, they were able to get us to the closing table on time and beat all the competitors rates. Not impressed. At first he seemed great and was super helpful. We didn’t have perfect credit in the beginning but I worked hard and within a month my credit jumped up to over the score Derek recommended. Reached back out to him as instructed and he couldn’t even get back to me until I said I would be working with someone else. If you have less than perfect credit prepare to be written off by this guy. Terrible service and experience. I truly understand being busy, but a simple email advising of that goes a long way. Glad to be working with another lender.nn*update, a day after I posted this, Derek has emailed me (after being unresponsive for weeks) to remove my review. Unbelievable.

I was connected to Derek via a realtor. Derek took off running and got my pre-approved with and outstanding interest rate. Over the closing he handled everything for me. Clearly explained the costs and documents. Just a few days before closing he called to tell me he was able to lower my interest rate further!!!. I highly recommend him for all your mortgage needs.

As first time home buyers, we had no idea what we were doing. Derek guided us through the entire process. From advising us on our budget, connecting us with a realtor, recommending a home inspector, and getting the paperwork signed, Derek and his team at RMS were knowledgable, helpful, communicative, and efficient.nnWhen the appraisal came back lower than expected, Derek explained our options and worked with us to find a solution. When there were issues with the title, Derek stayed on top of the problem and kept us informed. When we missed our closing date because of bureaucratic complications related to Covid-19, Derek was understanding and made sure the deal did not fall through.nnDerek and his team made our purchase happen. They were helpful, personable, and amazing throughout. We highly recommend him!
