Excellent food, first of all. The atmosphere of the place is unlike any I've ever been to and it's absolutely wonderful. Great music, great local beer, the ski clips on the TVs were the icing on the cake. I gotta say I'm a sucker for the theme and the creative decorations - the back wall has climbing holds on it! I asked someone who worked there a question about one of the decoration pieces and he told me the whole story - it was a gift from THE blizzard ski company (whose US headquarters are in West Leb, who knew?). Highly highly recommend.

My first experience at Trail Break was one for the books. I am very familiar with Tex-Mex and upscale taco joints, so I had high expectations going into this meal. We sat at the upcycled gondala from Killington which was a unique experience (not recommended for parties larger than 2), the atmosphere and the playlist were amazing. We split the nachos (1/2 and 1/2), a seared, a roasted, and the fried plantains with maple sambal. Each item was amazing! The nachos were the main star of the meal, the chorizo chili and the smokey house salsa gave a great flavor combo. The tacos were great, with the roasted being the better of the two. We finished the meal with the fried plantains and the maple sambal and wow....just wow, the spicy and sweet combo was perfect treat at the end of the meal.nnI am so glad we decided to give Trail Break a chance and they didn't disappoint we will definitely be back. Also the review responses are amazing.

White River Junction is a regular stop for us whenever we drive up from CT to VT. Due to COVID, our usual lunch place was closed, but a quick Google search revealed this little gem. The staff was friendly and service was fast. We were seated immediately and ordered off their online menu (due to COVID). The food itself was very hearty and good portion sizes. Beer selection was a treat (it included nearby River Roost)! We'll be visiting again on our next trip.

It was like a flavor explosion in my mouth. Excellent service to go with the delicious food. I recommend this to your mother, brother, father, great great great great aunt. I don’t care. Get some tacos!

WORST dining experience I’ve ever had. I was very unhappy with all of the service, and also did not like my meal at all. I got the “chimi” burrito which was mostly a burrito that was fried to a crisp filled with cornbread. When the waitress came over I stated that I didn’t like the burrito and that I would like something different. She said “oh...well I can’t take this off the bill just because you don’t like it” and when my girlfriend inquired as to why she stated “any restaurant you go to will do this. It’s a loss for the restaurant as well and when you order food your making a choice to eat something whether you like the meal or not” I’ve been to many restaurants in my lifetime and this is the only establishment I’ve ever been to that doesn’t remove the meal from the receipt because you don’t like it. They did offer me 2 tacos on the house, which I ordered but also did not enjoy and feared to complain about because of the trouble I had not liking the first meal I ordered. Very expensive and poor quality food.
