I have been making special trips on my own and with friends since the 1970s, making the drive from southern Connecticut just to shop at my favorite store in the world! My home is full of Stone Soldier pottery. I so loved the artistry of Bob Burnell, the founder, and love that his daughter Jenepher carried on the family’s creativity! I have always love chatting with Connie. I guess you could generally call this style “rustic”, but each piece really is unique, never uniform or cookie-cutter. For me, a visit to the Stone Soldier is a wonderful sensory experience, love letting my eye wander over the glazes, shapes and colors.
