We went out of our way to come here a second time because the produce was THAT GOOD. Even icecream on a Sunday morning. Beautifully arranged and presented, great variety of foods. If I lived here, I would shop here everyday. It's like the Park Slope Coop, without the ego ud83dude09

The Roots is the most fantastic addition to Exit 9/Middlesex. Get your lunch at Red Hen and then stop into The Roots for the most delicious locally sourced vegetables, meats, dairy and more. You won't regret it!

This place was such a jewel when they first opened and amazingly they just keep getting better and better, now they are a geode! Really high quality everything brought fresh from the beautiful farmers of Vermont. Great for when you wish the farmers market was on a Thursday!
