The shop was a bit sparse on the inside and appeared under construction. I will give them a zero on ambiance but a ten a chocolate treats. It balances out to four stars. They serve ice cream in the summer only.

Excellent truffles!!! They use high quality ingredients. Order online to get best selection. At this time of year the sell out quickly.

This small, family-run business has, hands down, the best maple truffles. They are always very helpful and friendly, even when extremely busy.

Went with my husband 2 days in a row for maple creamies. We travel all over VT (And let the owner know that) to try maple creamies from different places that sell them.nThe first day we ordered a medium creamie, each. They were very melted and didn't last a minute before leaking through the cone, BUT the flavor was great and I left hoping they'd make some changes to their ice cream machine to get a better texture but keep the flavor. They were also served on waffle cones which is pretty rare but great.nWhen we returned the next day, we ordered a large which was honestly not a hair different from the medium sized ones-- which makes sense bc the ice cream is so wet it cannot hold its shape to build any higher than the walls of the cone. When I tasted it, I couldn't taste even a hint of Maple. I told the woman before she went on to make the 2nd but she ignored me and continued to make his, I asked if his tastes right and he said his was vanilla but was ok with that. We went outside and discussed it further but I returned to the store bc I don't like vanilla. I told the woman it definitely isn't maple and she returned with her boss who stated it was exactly the same mix as the previous day and was upset that I had returned claiming it was vanilla. He was angry and rude to me, didn't ask what I wanted as a resolution-- because honestly I would have just had him make another one and left happy, with a Maple one. I think it was an honest mistake that he refused to accept. He angrily refunded my money and told me to put the ice cream in the garbage.nI would NEVER return solely on the way I was treated. I advise anyone who wants to be welcomed and have a good maple creamie with great service-- go to Keith's in Pittsford. The service is well worth the extra 10 mins it takes to get there, and there's actually a difference in the sizes of the cones, and they're also a local business with deep roots here in VT. Not just another outta stater coming in taking advantage and bringing their rude Jersey attitudes.nLoVermont!

There was an error in the amount I was charged on my credit card. I emailed the company on a Monday (which the store is closed on) so I was expecting a response the next day. To my surprise, I received almost an immediate response back with an apology for the error. The issue was remediated right away and I was extremely happy with how everything was handled. The Vermont Truffle Company does a great job with their customer service, not to mention the truffles are delicious!
