Bayside Pavilion

This was my go to place.nThis weekend I had family in town I raved about the pavilion. We decided to go for dinner.nWhen we got there the hostess sat us on the back patio. Nice spot. ud83dudc95nWaitress took our order “we don’t drink alcohol and wanted to save our calories for our meal”. Water ud83dude01nWe waited for 30 minutes and during that wait my brother messaged me and asked us to bring him home some wings. When the waitress came back to refill our water, I asked her to add the wings to our order. She said “ok” and told us our meal was on its way out. About 10 minutes later she came out with the wings (so fast) and told us again our food was coming out soon. After that another 30 minutes went by and it was over an hour we waited for our food. She was waiting on a table next to us but stopped acknowledging us all together. Like avoiding us, maybe because our food still hadn’t come out? I don’t know, but after that I went to ask someone and I saw the hostess and asked her about our food and to my surprise she snapped at me and said “ I told you it was going to be a while”.n(I assure you she never said this, not even indicated that it would take over an hour to get our order). Now We would have gladly waited all night but her attitude towards me was atrocious. At that point I told her we wanted to leave and she asked if we wanted the food to go. I said no because we couldn’t wait anymore. She threw her hands up and said” come on in here and pay for those wings and your drinks. We went to pay and she asked what we had to drink and we said water and she rolled her eyes and said “water”! She charged us $13.03 for the wings and we left and realized later she charged us for 12 wings when we ordered and got the 8 wings.nThis whole thing was turned around on us. Never once did we complain or anything negative. We were treated like they were doing us a favor and we put them out.nCustomer service goes a long way and I felt embraced to have brought my guest there after I had told them it was going to be great.nThis was a terrible experience and the staff acted like they were mad at us.nWhat a shame that this happened and now I don’t feel at all comfortable about going there again.

Fabulous find. We were passing through and looking for a scenic spot to grab lunch and lucked upon this little gem. The food was fabulous. We ordered the beer battered asparagus that was served with chipotle ranch and it was delicious. We devoured every morsel. For lunch my husband had a Philly cheese steak and it did not disappoint, the fries it came with were also flavorful. I had the rodeo burger, let me not fail to mention that there beef is sourced locally from up the road and brought in fresh daily. I could certainly taste the difference. Yummy. The drinks are not very strong, I'd skip that next time it just have a beer. Our server Kyanna was pleasant and welcoming, so friendly and on point.

I had a group of 13 at Bayside for dinner Friday night service was excellent the wait staff was cheerful friendly and understanding. The problem I had was an expensive Reuben sandwich that didn’t measure up past 3/4 of an inch thick including the bread. On top of that I ordered a Jim Beam neat and a bottle of Budweiser. The Budweiser was fine the Jim Beam came in a shot glass and it was clear like water. I sent it back they brought me a rocks glass with bourbon in it.later on I ordered a second one the glass came with liquid in it tasted like water . All in all the bartenders need to be watched and they could improve the display of food when they put it out other than that I probably won’t go back

My camp is with in walking distance to the Bayside. It’s my home away from home when I am here. 35 min from South Burlington. The owners Deb and a Chuck, their sons and granddaughter work hard with heart, along with a great team of employees to accommodate our community and visitors. I recommend for my renters to visit and they all give a ud83dudc4d!

It was a great day to sit outside and have a Toddie by the water. Good food , good toddies and great waitress. Thank You
