A little overpriced for what it is...very plain decor and ambiance. The French fries were tough for some reason...like they had been sitting in the warmer too long.

3 stars because that's the least I could do when you have Great Customer Service! My five star expectations were not met. The photos present a quality of food thats not actually given. The tavern it self is classic, the flys don't help. Mixed reviews for a party of 4.
Love the atmosphere here. Twice now we've been there near closing time. This past time, we walked in after a 4 hour drive, 3 minutes before kitchen closing time. We are so thankful they sat us, I don't know where we would've gone if we were too late. A very rustic feel. If you love everything about the north country, you'll love Black Bear Tavern. The lot gets very crowded with pickups, Atvs, and snowmobiles at busy times, it can get tight, but it's worth it. Food was delicious!
Awesome food semi pricey. Strong drinks! Excellent service. First time here for sure not the last!!!! Thanks all!
