If your familiar with the McGillicuddys group of restaurants in Vermont then you know what to expect, 100 TVs playing all the sports networks you can't afford at home and great Pub food that is just what you need after that Sip of Sunshine. The Essex location in my opinion is the shinning star though. Private booths and TVs, great tap selection and that Irish Whiskey Burger and Buffalo Wings (best in the state IMO) just hit a little different there, in a good way. I live almost an hour away and much closer to another location of theirs, but I will be making a point to get back to Essex in the near future.

I loved it. The food tastes great and service was awesome. They have TVs at every table too. Mine wasn't working but all the others were, it's probably fixed by now.nnI will say, I'm not a big guy by any standards but the portions were small. I was satisfied but not full. Ended up getting a snack about 30 minutes later.nnStill, delightful experience for a first time visit. Dinner for two with an appetizer plus tip got us to $45.00

The wings here are very delecious! All flavors. Thays why they get the 3 stars. Everything else ive ate here the fish dish the blt the chicken philly was average at best. The place is nice and prices are ok. Besides the wings its a little underwhelming

I have come here with my girlfriend a couple times, each time it’s been fine (nothing special but still okay). This morning we placed a takeout order and we’re pretty surprised by how bad the food was. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak that was burnt so bad it tasted like charcoal and was completely inedible, My girlfriends burger tasted like it was a month out of date, and they gave us the wrong appetizer. The only thing I’d ever order again from here is their pub chips (which btw we also found a hair in them which isn’t a huge deal but still a little gross).
