Very poor customer service and lack of communication. Fitted for orthopedic shoes and told they’d be ready in about four weeks. After hearing nothing from them, I called regarding the status of my order. Paperwork for insurance had not been processed. I was told they would get it done ASAP but another three weeks later and no call from them. Not impressed at all.

Yankee Medical has provided several family members of mine with the items that they needed to heal and recover from various injuries and illnesses. As a consumer and as an employee, I see both sides of the interactions and can see how patients or consumers may get frustrated with policies and procedures. When you enter a store or medical office of any kind, you don't see the behind the scenes. All you see is what is right in front of you, (the item or service you are seeking). Unfortunately, consumers only see the one side. In order to provide patients with items or services there are many specific guidelines that need to be met, including but not limited to documentation, medical history, previous services or items related to what they are looking for and other information. Without this information, we cannot do our job. Most of the policies and guidelines that we need to meet are not those we have created, but those set up by insurance companies. If we could provide every person with what they need without all the hassle, we absolutely would.nnAs an employee, I don't like seeing patients or customers leaving unhappy. We do the best we can to provide people with what they need and in a timely manner. Providing these items also comes with all the necessary paperwork involved in order to bill insurance companies. Unfortunately this information needs to be gathered and sometimes we aren't able to gather it all as quickly as we wish we could. When there are multiple doctors and providers needing to add their notes or statements, and that doctor's office is closed on that day, we are unable to acquire that information. However we are persistent in reaching out to them to get whatever information or forms needed to process claims, and get your needs taken care of.nnYankee Medical has been one of the most amazing, and rewarding positions I have ever held and I am proud to say I work for such a great company!

Took them over a week to realize they didn’t have everything they needed with the script for a wheelchair that was sent in. Every time I called I was put through to voicemail. Never got called back. I found people I talk to to be rude and uncaring.

recently went here at the request of my surgeon to obtain some information about a medical device i will need soon. the receptionist was incredibly rude and dismissive. horrible customer service. i was embarrassed i even asked questions!i will be taking my business ANYWHERE else. walmart has a better selection anyway.
