This place is an absolute gem. First off, they have some of the best sandwiches I've ever had. A turkey club with house-smoked turkey, house-smoked bacon, and Vermont cheddar? Masterful. All members of my road trip to Burlington were thrilled to have found such a lunch spot to break up the drive. It was so good, we hit it on the drive back too. Secondly, they have an outstanding selection of VT beers. Great for loading up if you're driving back to NY. And finally, it's run by some of the nicest people you will meet.nnGo here. Buxton's boastsn- kind and personable peoplen- a genuinely welcoming and uplifting family ethosn- excellent sandwiches and criminally underrated dinnern- most importantly, a well curated (local) beer selection.nVT general stores are common and usually quite good but Buxton's is an exemplar of the category.

Great home town ol' fashion general store. And the food is AWESOME!
I went here with a friend for a new job I was deciding on taking or not. he treated me to lunch and I ended up getting a buffalo wrap, not one for spicy food but man that was amazing so glad I tried it. had some heat but overall I'd get it again. but it's your typical local store. makes you feel at home and comfortable. worth a stop.
