A relatively new hidden gem, One Day at a Time is a cozy and eclectic gift shop tucked away in a little ally off of Baltimore Ave. The store is inclusive and welcoming - featuring a wide selection of LGBTQ+ related shirts, books, hats, flags, and other merchandise - and the owner is deeply kind, helpful, and honest. In just the 15-20 minutes I spent in the store, she offered me a spot behind the counter to set down my purchases from other stores, helped me size up a shirt to figure out if it would fit me, offered me a chair to sit in while I looked through books about Stonewall, gave me a discount on a weekly planner since it was already halfway through the year, and urged me to take something from her basket of free candy by the door on my way out. After the Proud Bookstore closed a couple years ago, Rehoboth was much in need of a store like this! ud83dudc95
