Great service even for the undermanned off season.
Ice cream was good, but not over the top fantastic. We tried a variety of flavors- Peanut butter fudge crunch was the favorite. Pumpkin and cookie dough were okay, but nothing special. Peanut butter swirl was lacking as a milkshake- we were disappointed that they add ice to the milkshakes.
My family and I were on vacation and during our traversing Dewey beach we found this ice cream shop after dinner one day. What a fantastic treat!!! The ice cream was absolutely delicious and the staff extremely friendly! Just be prepared to possibly wait in line due to this being an awesome place to visit. We highly recommend Vanderwendes for a tasty treat !!!ud83dude07
This is very good ice cream and not extremely expensive particularly for the beach. I was disappointed they only had cups. I bought a single cup for $4.75. It was a lot of ice cream.
Great ice cream and good size portions at a reasonable price. We'll be back. We had black cherry & birthday cake ice cream and a chocolate milkshake.
