After a great visit in October we returned on Tuesday, November 10. We were sorry to learn that Carrie was no longer an employee.nnWe waited about 25 minutes for two turkey sandwiches, a cup of chili, and a side of Yukon Gold fries. Our server never bothered to tell us why there was such a delay.nnA table that came in ten minutes after us got their meals 5 minutes before us. When my wife asked the server if maybe our order got lost she said the kitchen had it. My wife was really asking, nicely, why it was taking so long.nnAfter serving the other table (that came in after us) she told us our food would be right out. Our sandwiches and the chili finally came out but we had to wait another couple of minutes for the fries. She didn't bring condiments for the fries.nnThe sandwiches are really good but sloppy. Our server never asked us if we needed more napkins.nnMy wife asked to bring some of her sandwich home. The container the server brought was too small. It was just good for the potato chips. She had to bring a bigger size for the sandwiches. Was she trained at all?nnWe don't know what happened on this visit. We want to support restaurants and their employees during this crisis. However it's little to ask to have competent service. We got really bad service this visit.nnI want to add that both the owner and the General Manager contacted me regarding our visit. They were very understanding and helpful. The situation was resolved and we will continue to eat at Home Grown Cafe.

To Go rating only!!! Will definitely try again when I can dine there. Menu is fantastic and diverse (great vegan and vegetarian options), but almost none of it translated well to go. Foods lose heat quickly. The fries were not worth the price charged for them at all. I am hoping the quantity and freshness of in person dining are why this place is award winning.

Food good nice people service a little slow for a Tuesday night

We met with friends at this place for dinner. we heard about this place from many people. Well, it was very nice. The staff members were very polite and we felt fantastic. The food was just great. We enjoyed every moment and we shall absolutely come back again. We recommend this place to all.

This place is absolutely wonder! The food, the service, the atmosphere - every area is excellent and worth a visit. We did the unlimited mimosas since it was brunch on a Saturday and they were so careful due to the pandemic; they brought the champagne in a glass and the choice of juice in a plastic cup to refill as we saw fit. Always a pleasure!
