I was admitted to the ER on Friday night Sept. 18, 2020. I was told that I would be admitted due to my diagnosis. I immediately called my family members and let them know I would be here for a couple of days. I was given a room around 9:30 AM on Sept. 19, 2020. The Doctors made their rounds at 10 AM and said that I needs a CT scan. I was taken to CT at 11:30AM. I returned back to my room at 1:30 PM. I had lunch and by 2:30 PM I was told that I was being discharged at 3:30PM. . I started calling my family immediately and couldn’t reach anyone with a car. I was told by Dr. that they would get me a taxi. I told them I would not be able to walk out of the hospital on my own. I asked for a transport person to help me get into the wheel chair and down to cab then I needed assistance to get into the cab. I was told by Dr. that the transport team had left for the day. Nevertheless The Dr. still wanted menout of the room. I explained to him what happened to me the last time that I tried to get out of public transportation I fell and ended up crawling into my house. My Nurse then came into the room and told me they should have never admitted me. I then said how was I suppose to hand known that? Then she tried to give me until early AM to leave the hospital?nWhatever happened to showing hospitality while you’re in the. hospital?

You can't get anyone on the phone. They don't return messages. This has been my worst experience with any hospital!nnDr. V Poddar's office doesn't answer calls, or returns voice messages. I've been waiting for weeks to get the doctor to follow up with me regarding my lung capacity test & heart exam !!

Nice bedside manner here. Everyone was so kind. When I had surgery there I woke up doing things I hadn’t done in years. The neurosurgeon is my hero

It’s one thing if a visit to the hospital is lengthy and you have access to logical responses to your questions and concerns- but 8 hours of bad information and bad communication is another thing altogether. While I was waiting on the curb for my partner to be discharged (understandably couldn’t stay in the hospital because of Covid) I watched a wheelchair bound patient with a foot about to be amputated at the same hospital in just 10 hours be unceremoniously dropped off on the curb at 1:41 am with instructions to “go home” when he promptly fell from his wheelchair onto the sidewalk with only yours truly to pick him up, tie his shoe laces and call him an uber. It’s crazy that someone with zero medical experience and in an already frazzled state from hours of sitting on the curb waiting for x ray results should be expected to make sure a patient doesn’t miss his amputation appointment because he had fallen face first within a couple feet of the ER.

PLEASE READ! This is a terrible hospital. My aunt had a surgery and they discharged her by herself while she was heavily medicated. They did not assist her with getting dressed but rushed her out of the hospital when they could’ve jus asked her sister to help. This was ridiculous especially for someone who jus undergone surgery. Do NOT take your loved one to this hospital.
