Just another one of those historic sites that you just 'stumble' upon and otherwise wouldn't have noticed - unless you were really paying attention.nnJust off Indiana Ave, this building forms a nondescript corner. However, the building is about 200 years old or more. This is the site of the first ever bank that was established in Washington DC. I don't know why wouldn't they list this more prominently on tourism brochures and open up a mini-tour (you can include a walk-tour of Penn Ave and the surrounding district).nnWorth getting off and going to check this out.
