I reported that the golf course was closed, but that's not correct. The land was sold and the new owners are keeping the course and even adding a restaurant. Currently, the greens are being rebuilt but the course is open for play with temporary greens.

Oakridge Golf Course is my go-to. The price is right. It's never crowded. And I seldom experience delays while golfing. Some days, I'm practically alone out there and can play 9 in less than 1.5 hours. It's no frills. It's not impeccably maintained. I do wish they would clean out their ball washers and fill with water. Mostly just dirt and sand. So bring a towel. Teeing areas can be rough. Extremely hilly and that's the challenge. You seldom have a flat lie once you're off the teeing area. That makes it a rather quirky course. And you can find dirt lies or weeds even if on the fairway. But fairways are mowed so who cares. No bunkers on the course. The views are amazing in the Arkansas hills. Favorite hole is the picturesque, downhill par 3 #4. For me, it's worth the 25-minute drive since there is generally no waiting. If you're older, it's definitely a course to not walk. The clubhouse is also no frills, and it's that whole austere feel that I like because more expensive courses can be so snooty. Hope this helps. Enjoy your round! I'd give it five stars if they'd make the ball washers usable.

Great ppl. Good little course with a home town feel. Always someone there you know and they support their local high school golf team!

Beautiful area to play golf. Everyone is nice. Its hard to find if you dont know the area.
