Potawatomi Inn & Conference Center

Not the most exciting place as far as amenities but generally a safe bet for being somewhat clean with a hospitable staff. The cabin suites seem to never be as clean as they should upon arrival. Their breakfast has recently changed to carry-out only and quite simply isn't as good as it was before. The unique setting contributes to their motto "Making Memories" being that there is plenty to do within walking distance. The pony rides, tobaggan run, and nature center are well worth the visit! Since they have no problem keeping rooms sold it seems like they won't put money back into the place which is unfortunate. If you're wanting to stay at an Indiana State Park that has much nicer cabins I'd recommend Abe Martin Lodge in Brown County.

As everything else they have things shut down or half capacity. I just don't get it we all touch the front door to come in sign card machines why cant the recreation arcade room be open at least to some extent? My son n i were super excited only to see it was closed. Restaurant also closed pick up only. All of the restrictions just truly take away from the beauty and experience.

We stayed 2 nights and loved it. Our room was clean and the food was wonderful. The staff bent over backwards to help in anyway we ask. Our family has enjoyed this place for many years. and We will be going back for many more. No issues here

The staff was friendly and welcoming. They tried their best to work with what they had. A shell of its former self, the Potawatomi Inn must have been something, before electricity. Dreadfully outdated with a hodge podge of scrapped over furniture, stained sheets, walls and floors our tranquility fled as fear filled the gaping wound of shock and awe. To bring this review up from the negative I borrowed a few stars from the following review of the grounds, setting and employees. Stunning views, trails and woods form a spectacular backdrop of this hotel of yesteryear. A sparkling light glistens off of the lake, docks, a fire pit and children played my on the lawn raise the expectations for a night of rest and fine dining. In all honesty we cannot say enough good about the staff. Friendly and caring they treated us and our concerns cheerfully and respectfully. After the first room with stained sheets, ants and a random flying bug we asked for another room. For the first time in our lives, we chose to ask for a refund. Alas this room as well had stained sheets, missing knobs from the furniture and unkept walls and sinks. At nearly $150 a night this hotel should be no more. In the end they gave us a full refund. The staff is stunning, the state however, gave them a soiled and beaten deck to deal with. Paddle away from this one.

It's very peaceful. I never been here until Thursday. I walked around and i felt relaxed. It was a great feeling because I love nature and feeling like all my worries went away. I can't wait to go back there.
